CLINICAL SUPPORT • ADDICTION SUPPORT • WHĀNAU SUPPORT
Te Ara Oranga
Te Ara Oranga is a Northland based programme that helps people and whānau affected by methamphetamine find a path towards recovery. It brings together treatment services, whānau support, and employment help in a culturally responsive way. People can be referred by whānau, health providers, or Police, or they can reach out and self-refer directly.
Te Ara Oranga combines:
Police referrals and prevention activities
Alcohol and drug treatment services
Whānau support
Employment and social support
Culturally responsive, community-led approaches
Rather than focusing solely on enforcement, the programme aims to reduce demand for methamphetamine by helping users engage with treatment and support services. People can be referred by Police, whānau, health providers, or can self-refer.
